An impacted tooth is a tooth that cannot erupt during its normal time and remains under the jawbone or gum tissue. Examination and X-ray: The position of the tooth is determined and the extraction is planned.

Opening the Gum and Bone: If the tooth is completely covered, the gum is opened and the bone tissue above the tooth is carefully removed.
Tooth Removal: The tooth is extracted without damaging the surrounding tissues. Larger teeth may be divided into pieces for easier removal.
Cleaning and Stitching: The extraction area is cleaned and stitches are placed if necessary.
✔ Protect the Blood Clot: Do not touch the extraction area and avoid spitting during the first 24 hours.
✔ Take Painkillers and Antibiotics Regularly: Follow your dentist’s prescribed medications.
✔ Apply Cold Compress to Prevent Swelling: Apply ice in 10-minute intervals during the first 24 hours.
✔ Avoid Smoking and Alcohol: Refrain from smoking and drinking alcohol for at least 48 hours.
✔ Avoid Hot, Hard, and Spicy Foods: Consume soft and lukewarm foods in the first few days.
✔ Check Your Stitches and Healing Process: Stitches can be removed in 7–10 days, make sure to attend your dentist’s follow-up appointment.
